Fraserburgh Harbour Commissioners would like to reassure you that they are taking extra precautions in light of the coronavirus pandemic to limit any impact on all operations at the harbour. However, in line with Government instructions we will be limiting our operations to essential requirements only. This will mean that, whilst the fish auction will continue, due to the impacts that Covid-19 is having on operations no chilling facilities will be provided however ice will be provided by FHC. All those attending are asked to ensure that they utilise the hand washing facilities on arrival at the market and adhere to the social distancing requirements as advised by the Government before, during and after the sale.
After the vessels currently using both the shiplift and dry dock are safe to be returned to the water, the ship repair facilities will only be utilised in the case of emergency. In addition, due to restricted availability of staff, the pilot boat will not be available for towing of vessels within the port.
The Harbour Office will be closed during this period with all calls being redirected to the watchtower. Emails will be attended to, as far as possible, by staff working from home.
We will continue to monitor Government and NHS Scotland advice and act accordingly.
